A.M.P-Rose Super 42HSBG Bubble Gum Cut, Fold and Wrap
Machine
The Super
42HSBG
is one of the fastest cut and fold wrappers in the world. It sizes, shapes, cuts to
length and fold wraps bubble gum fed in rope form usually from an extruder. The
machine produces square and rectangular shaped products. Further developed and
improved by AMP-Rose, the machine is now capable of speeds up to 1000 pieces/minute.
Style of wrap
Outer wrap
The machine is usually set to perform a reversed single point end folded outer wrap
style, as shown below;

Inner wrap
1. Standard 'Bazooka'
The inner and outer wrappers are taken from a single reel of wrapping material.
The reel is split into two (inner and outer), thereby ensuring that both wrappers
are registered. The inner 'comic' can be folded or unfolded.
2. 'Stickers'
Inner and outer wrappers are taken from separate reels. The outer wrapper
is continuously printed (not registered). The inner wrapper is the sticker, which is
registered to ensure that the cut is in the correct place.
Wrapping materials
Suitable fold-wrapping grades of waxed paper.
Mechanical features
Most of the mechanisms are totally enclosed in a robust cast frame, and is
continuously sprayed with filtered oil. A large inspection door is provided for easy
access, and an oil indicator window is fitted. An automatic splicing unit gives a
continuous supply of wrapping material to the wrapping position at all times. When
one reel runs out (or breaks), the alternative reel begins feeding automatically,
eliminating the need to stop the machine for reel changes. The machine is fitted
with quick-change reel mechanisms.
Size limits
Super 42 HSBG machines can be supplied for sizes of rectangular and square
pieces, within the following approximate range:
| Length: |
16 to 45mm |
| Width (rectangles): |
11 to 25mm |
| Thickness (rectangles): |
4.5 to 13mm |
Feeding
The bubble gum rope is sized by three pairs of vertical intermittent rollers.
As the candy rope enters the machine, it is detected by a sensor which
automatically activates the wrapper feed mechanism. The cut-off is achieved by
water-cooled guillotine type 'nipping' knives.
Discharge
The wrapped pieces are discharged via a belt conveyor, which discharges at
right angles to the line of the gum feed.
Output
Variable by Invertor to a maximum speed of 1000 per minute. An
electrical speed control, and speed indicator, are provided.
Options
Grooved infeed rollers
Sweet counter
Four reel automatic splicing for stickers (as shown in picture).
