A.M.P-Rose Super 42HST Cut And Twist Wrap Machine

The Super 42HST is one of the fastest cut and twist wrappers in the world.  It sizes, shapes, cuts to length and twist wraps toffee, caramel, fruit chew, bubblegum, or high boiled sugar fed in rope form from a batch feeder or extruder.  The machine produces square, rectangular or cylindrical shaped sweets.  Further developed and improved by A.M.P Rose, the machine is now capable of speeds up to 1000 pieces/minute.

Style of wrap
Fantail twists are formed on the cut faces of the pieces. The longitudinal seam, which may be heat-sealed, is on the edge of the piece.

Wrapping materials
Twist wrapping grades of waxed paper, cellulose film and PVC, with an understrip, if used, of tissue-backed aluminium foil.  Alternatively the machine can be used with a single wrapper with an understrip, or overstrip, bonded to it.

Mechanical features
Most of the mechanisms are totally enclosed in a robust cast frame, and is continuously sprayed with filtered oil.  A large inspection door is provided for easy access, and an oil indicator window is fitted.  An automatic splicing unit gives a continuous supply of wrapping material to the wrapping position at all times.  When one reel runs out (or breaks), the alternative reel begins feeding automatically, eliminating the need to stop the machine for reel changes.  The machine is fitted with quick-change reel mechanisms.

Size limits
Super 42 machines can be supplied for sizes of rectangular, square or cylindrical piece, within the following approximate range:

Length (i.e. cut-off length): 16 to 45mm
Width (rectangles): 11 to 25mm
Thickness (rectangles): 5.5 to 17mm
Diameter (cylinders): 17 to 19mm

On standard Super 42 machines for rectangular pieces, the sweet width plus 1.5 times the sweet thickness should be at least 30mm.  Where this condition cannot be met, special wrapper knife details are required.

Feeding
The candy rope is sized by three pairs of vertical intermittent rollers.  As the candy rope enters the machine, it is detected by a sensor which automatically activates the wrapper feed mechanism.
The cut-off is achieved by water-cooled guillotine type knives giving a minimum amount of chipping.

Discharge
The wrapped pieces are delivered down an inclined chute, which discharges at right angles to the line of candy feed.

Output
Variable by Inverter to a maximum speed of 1000 per minute.  An electrical speed control, and speed indicator, are provided.

Options
Unwrapped sweet separator
Sweet counter
Photoelectric cell registration unit.
